Describe the process, or workflow, you went through to create these images?
First thing i did was look at the pictures i took in California and i chose the ones that looked coolest then i went to adobe color and i took a color from each photo and found the complementary color and used the gradient map.
How did you incorporate the two complementary color into your photos?
i incorporated them by choosing a color in the photo and finding the complementary color using the numbers code and pasting them into adobe color and copying and pasting the color into photo shop and I used the two colors in a gradient on both photos
What blending methods did you use in Photoshop? What did the addition of complementary colors do for your images?
I used the gradient to blend the two complementary colors and then made it a overlay layer that gave the photos cool effects without completely changing the photo for example the bridge photo looks like it has a purple glow that look really cool
What moods or emotions stood out as a result of enhancing the complementary colors?
With the water fall it looked kind of relaxing before and now it looks a bit more dramatic and in the bridge photo it was also relaxing but now its relaxing but also a bit mysterious.
Explain how you were able to enhance the mood of the photographs with Photoshop or Lightroom? raising the contrast and detail in light room and adding the complementary colors in Photoshop.
How well do your final images show the complementary colors? I think they are shown pretty well but out of the two i think the bridge photo shows them more clearly then the water fall photo.
What did you learn about color theory as a result of working on this project? that complementary colors are on the opposite end of the color wheel directly across the other color.
Do you think your photos tell a good story? My photos do tell a good story because you can think of them however you like so the stories can be different for example in the bridge photo you can think of it as like a alien thing going on since the pink purple is really mysterious or you can think of it as a romantic thing with the purple pink kind of resembling blossom flowers.
What would you do differently if you could do it all again?
I wouldn’t really do anything different i like how they turned out
What are you most proud of? Im most proud of that glowing look on the bridge photo
