Portrait sketch

Pre-production:
What will you need to get images to reinforce what they are saying?
Ill just need some photos that relate to what he likes and what he talks about.
Will these images be taken at school or away from school?
The images will be taken at school in the gym and weight room.
What other equipment (flash, reflectors, etc.) will you need to make these images?
Ill just need my phone to capture the photos because the lighting inside inst really bad in the morning so i wont be needing any reflectors.
Will you need any other audio, like crowd sounds, or music to reinforce what they are saying.
No i dont think i will be needing any audio sounds if i had more time i would maybe add some silly sounds to make it more comedic since that kind of fits Marcos’s personality.
Reflection:
How well do you capture all sides of the person you are interviewing?
I think i captured Macros pretty well i think i missed the comedic part of him but for the most part his life mostly revolves around basketball.
Do we see examples of what they are talking about in the interview. How well do the images flow, from one to the other ?
Yeah there many examples of what hes talking about in the video. I think the images flow pretty well from one to another if i had more time i would have added maybe a transition effect from photo to photo to make it look smoother.
What’s the first image, why is it important to the sequence. What is the last image and how well does it close out the snapshot of a person’s life?
The first image is important because its a clear image of what he looks like and what hes wearing that connects to his life and interests. The last image is a picture of Marcos shooting a basketball the image is good for the end because in basketball that’s Marcos’s best skill and talking about college or continuing a career in basketball should show what hes good at. I also just wanted to end the video with a jumper because it reminds me of a buzzer beater.
How well in focus the image is, does it need to be cropped or straightened?
Most of the images are in good focus id say the only photos that could of came out better are the ones where Marcos is moving but since i was using my phone and the we were on a time table and the actual camera was taking to long to set up how we wanted we just used our phones.
How well do the images work as a sequence as far as editing goes. Is the editing consistent as a series or is it all over the place?
I think the images work pretty well in the sequence they were in for example i have a question asking him what he does to get better and the photo that’s playing while he answers is in the weight room so o think the sequence i choose made alto of sense. I think the editing was pretty consistent throughout the whole video.
